No, although you might see a lot of our hospital and school projects, we also have many other projects in progress. We do everything from concrete work, remodeling, additions, commercial or retail buildings, religious facilities, and even metal buildings. Click here to see some of our past projects. Do you do residential work? We do concrete driveways, sidewalks, masonry, etc. If we don't believe we are a good fit for your project, we will be happy to refer you to another contractor who is better suited to your needs. Should we bid out our job? It all depends on what you would like. There are different advantages to each project delivery system. Remember to choose your contractor carefully; your project's outcome will directly reflect the results of your decision for many years to come. What is partnering? GMP stands for Guaranteed Maximum Price. We can work with you to help determine a maximum price for your project, guaranteed and 100% of cost savings returned to the owner. The goal is creating a project scope that fits your needs as well as your budget. What work do you perform with your crews? What work do you usually subcontract? We typically self-perform concrete, masonry, steel erection, and carpentry work. We also have the opportunity to work with local subcontractors for better scheduling and workmanship. Of course, we offer a warranty on every project. The usual timeline is for one year upon completion of your project. We also can arrange for longer periods of coverage. How do I start the building process? Give us a call, we want to help. There are many ways to get started even though it might first seem a daunting project. Where do I get the land for a new building? There are many resources to find the perfect location for your new building. Keep in mind, we are here to do as much work for you as you would like, or as little as you need. We are able to help you find the perfect piece of land, or point you in the right direction. Who will design my building? We would work with area architects to select the best fit for your project. Do I need to see an architect first? No, you can make a visit to an architect first, or we can meet with you as the very first step in your project, it's up to you. What sort of services does Fowler & Hammer offer? We offer a wide variety of services ranging from design/build to general contracting and partnering. Click here to view some of the services we offer. Who provides the parking lot for our building? Fowler & Hammer does both bituminous (value) and concrete (durability) parking lots. Who gets the building permits? Building permits are typically acquired by Fowler & Hammer, Inc. and usually included in the construction cost. However, you can also get the permits yourself. How much will it cost? Cost depends on a variety of factors including size and type of construction, quality of finishes, and schedule. Fowler & Hammer can help you with budgeting and planning for your project. How long will it take? We can determine the best schedule for your project. Whether you need a fast timeline, or you need to work around your production or business activities, we're here to help. How do I pay for my new building? If financing is required, you will need to obtain a business or personal loan from a credible lending association. We can assist you with contacts to help you acquire a loan. Typically, we would issue a monthly pay request that would be determined based on the progress of your project. Can I build in the winter? Yes. We are completely set up to perform all types of work in the winter and have successfully done so since 1963. What makes Fowler & Hammer so special?
