December 3, 2003 - Gundersen Lutheran Topping Off Ceremony A topping off ceremony was held at the Gundersen Lutheran Vertical Expansion project in Onalaska. The topping off ceremony is a Scandinavian tradition to ward off evil spirits from the new building. The last two steel beams - displaying signatures from many supporters, were set in place Wednesday afternoon.
