Fowler & Hammer Community Involvement 2007

Project Safe HavenFowler and Hammer is proud to be a contributor to Project Safe Haven - a young adult recreational center. The La Crosse YMCA and the La Crosse Area Youth Initiative were happy to announce the project and what activities will be held within the Safe Haven. Activities include a recording studio, art room, study center, lounge, computer room, and much more.


Rotary Lights

Fowler and Hammer is proud to sponsor a Rotary Lights night in the park. Rotary Lights is an annual gift to the Coulee Region as a cooperative effort among the area's Rotary Clubs and numerous other non-profit groups and volunteer organizations.  Rotary Lights 2006 ran November 26th through January 31st.  Fowler and Hammer employees helped staff the park December 12th.  Thanks for stopping by to show your support!

Children's Museum of La Crosse

We are also a proud sponsor of the La Crosse Children's Museum Duck Race.

The mission of the Gertude Salzer Children's Museum of La Crosse is to provide a hands-on, interactive environment for children -- a family place where the young and the young at heart can explore, create, experiment, learn, and exercise their imaginations. The Children's Museum is a place where children play to learn and adults learn to play!

Each year the museum puts on the Rubber Ducky River Race. Approximately 10,000 numbered ducks will race past Riverside Park. The race will benefits the Museum and helps it grow and improve.The race was Sunday, July 4, 2006 so get ready to sponsor your rubber ducky next year!


La Crosse YMCAFowler and Hammer has also been a contributor to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.The YMCA is an association of people of all incomes, ages, abilities, religions and ethnic backgrounds. It works to nurture the healthy development of children and teens, support families and strengthen communities. When you join a YMCA, you help not only yourself and your family but the entire community. Along with the many precious hours of volunteer time and the dollars that are contributed, membership fees make it possible for your YMCA to respond to community needs and to make sure it is accessible to everyone, regardless of income.


Sand on the Riverfront

Relay for LifeAmerican Cancer Society- Terry Schmeckpepper Relay for Life. Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day, cancer will be eliminated.



Coulee Region Humane SocietyCoulee Region Humane Society annual membership and donations.The Coulee Region Humane Society, a charitable non-profit organization, serves the people and animals of the La Crosse area in its efforts to promote the humane treatment of animals. By sheltering homeless animals, preventing animal cruelty and neglect, and educating the community, the Coulee Region Humane Society actively promotes the positive human-animal relationship and recognizes the interdependence between people, animals, and the environment.


Aquinas Foundation scholarships.The St. Thomas Aquinas Foundation was established in 1980 to assure quality Catholic education for all interested students. To achieve this goal, pursuit of on-going sources of revenue became a part of the daily agenda. Contributions raised by the Foundation now support endowments for faculty, tuition assistance, capital improvements and technology advancements.
